The NPA joins fellow Zambians and the rest of the world in commemorating the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2023 under the theme ‘PEOPLE FIRST: STOP STIGMA AND DISCRIMINATION, STRENGTHEN PREVENTION’
This year’s campaign aims to increase public awareness of the significance of treating drug users with respect and empathy, giving voluntary services to everyone, providing alternatives to punishment, placing a high priority on prevention, and acting with compassion towards victims.
Fellow citizens are encouraged to support and advise drug users on where they can get assistance and to continue to preach the message of prevention in our homes, schools, places of worship and employment.
