PUBLIC CLARIFICATION- THE PEOPLE VS JOE MALANJI AND FREDSON YAMBA

press

The NPA wishes to inform the public that, as the Court was informed, a laptop
and 2 note books containing notes on the above stated case were stolen. This
was after unknown people broke into our Prosecutor’s vehicle by smashing the
front rear window (tinted) of the vehicle.
No evidence in this or any other court case, was taken in that incident. The State
has not lost any evidence or document that was produced or intended to be used,
in the Fredson Yamba and Joe Malanji matter.
The public is further informed that our Prosecutors do not carry dockets or
exhibits intended to be tendered into Court to their homes. All dockets and
potential exhibits are kept in the Authority’s or relevant Law Enforcement
Agency’s custody .
Thank you.
