Abductors convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment as prosecution breaks new ground in the fight against gbv. 

The NPA under the dedicated efforts of its legal team has achieved a ground breaking victory in the fight against GBV which has resulted in the conviction and subsequent sentencing of the convicts in the Abduction case to Life Imprisonment. 

The NPA with the use of Victim Impact Statements during the the sentence hearing set precedence in the prosecution of Criminal matters. The use of Victim Impact Statements brought to light the aggravating circumstances of the case and the impact the offence had on the victims. 

The NPA also ensured that throughout the hearing of the matter, the identities of all the victims were protected
